Spencer Awarded Top Prize for JRFH

Spencer & Curtis worked really hard to raise money again this year in the annual Jump Rope For Heart campaign at school.  Curtis went over his goal by raising $515 and Spencer blew his goal out of the water by raising $1,023!  He and one other boy were given first ever awards for raising over $1,000 on the last day at school in a special assembly.
Way to go boys.  We are so very proud of you and how hard you work every year for such a great cause.  Keep up the great work!!

Happy Father's Day 2012

We had a family bbq at the camp that Al, Becky & Grandpa came to.  It was great to seen them again and to chat about all the saga around the old house finally selling :)
Sunday was the traditional home made cards and t-shirt presents.  Dad even got the watch replacement he was secretly hoping for!!
It was a little too chilly for the annual kids vs Dads water gun fight so the boys decided to play around with the volleyball net instead.
It was another successful weekend.  We hope all the Dads had a great weekend!

Reptile Day at the Camp

For something new this year they had Reptile Day for the kids at the Camp. It was filled with a little education about different reptiles in the Camp and a company was brought in to show the kids other kinds too.  No guessing which one of my kids was first in line to get his hands on the ones NOT found in the Camp!!

Curtis Wins 2nd at Track & Field!

It is the local school track and field competition and Curtis made the relay team and competed in long jump. The relay team stole 2nd place and Curtis did an amazing job at long jump but unfortunately he got ousted out at the very end. He had a great time winning his first ribbon!

Happy Mother's Day

After a wonderful breakfast and beautifully crafted cards and gifts, we had an amazing day at Webter's Falls.  We did some hiking, had a picnic, tossed the football arround, played with Maui
Don't you think this rock formation kind of looks like a butterfly?

Toronto FC Game

We were lucky enough to 'score' some FC tickets.  We went a little early & the boys had some fun before the real fun of the game even started.  Could this foozeball game be any bigger?
Unfortunately Toronto lost but we were winners because we had a great time!!

Easter Weekend

We had a beautiful long weekend weather wise so it should be no surprise that everyone wanted to spend Easter weekend at the camp.  It was a weekend filled with much fun and reconnecting.
Curtis was in dog heaven with Maui, Topper and Snuggs.  He could have started a doggie daycare at one point.  It was hard to tell who loved it more - the dogs or Curtis.
Sarah planted a new flower that she got from her Grandma.  We all can't wait to see what kind of flowers it is going to get on it.
The boys spent much of the weekend together too.  They explored, walked trails, played games, took the dogs for a run or two, and did guy stuff.
Right now Serina thinks they might be up to some no good...
Yup...pretty much what she thought :)
We saw signs of spring everywhere-birds chirping, trees budding, spring flowers trying to poke through. Beautiful!
Of course it wouldn't have been Easter if the Easter Bunny didn't visit.  Chocolate galore!
There also wouldn't be a camping weekend if the campfire wasn't going all weekend long.  So nice to be able to sit around the campfire and warm up when the sun goes down and reconnect with everyone.
Oh and lets not forget the golf carts.  They seem critical to toodle around and see what has changed and how everyone is doing.
All in all we had a great weekend and can't believe it is over already.  We are really looking forward to the season officially starting in a few weeks!!
