VACATION IN SASKATCHEWAN

We decided last minute to fly instead of drive to Saskatchewan and everyone was very happy we did. We are on the plane to Grandma & Grandpa B's place to see some sites, visit family and most importantly, celebrate Grandpa B's 80th birthday (maybe Daddy's 50th too!)!!!

SCIENCE CENTRE
Did someone ever tell Curtis he was a monkey?!?!
Look, I'm on TV
Now that's a BIG mouth!
Bubble fun! MILESTONE POOL BALLOON TOSS WITH GRANDMA FUN AT THE PLAYGROUND MOOSE JAW TUNNELS
It is believed that the tunnels were used for Chinese immigration in the 1900's and bootlegging by the infamous Al Capone in the 1920's. The Tunnels were locked away and hidden for many years and rediscovered by accident in the late 80's and now the Town of Moose Jaw has turned it into a tourist attraction with interactive theatrical tours of the tunnels telling the stories of the two stories. We chose to go on the Chicago Connection and learn about Al Capone "Scarface" and the bootlegging that went on back then. Gangster Gus was a great story teller - "Forget about it! "
CORNER GAS
You can't come all this way and not go see Dog River where they shoot Corner Gas. This year is the final year for the series and we were lucky enough they were shooting the series in the city so we could walk all around the set and downtown to see it all. It was much smaller than we had imagined but cooky fun non-the-less!
DOUBLE RAINBOW!
If you look at the 3rd tree from the right you will see the start of the first rainbow and if you look at the first 6 trees from the left, you should see the second rainbow. I have never seen a double rainbow before.
FAMILY DINNER AT MELROSE
It was great to have the gang all together at last. It's been 5 years since we last did it!
HAPPY 80TH GRANDPA & HAPPY 50TH KEITH
How appropriate - a half farmer, half golfing cake for the two birthday boys!
GRANDPA'S CAKE & TEA
The next day Grandma invited some of Grandpa's friends over for some of that yummy cake and tea. Everyone had some great laughs and really enjoyed the cake!
John & Eleanor's
The next day we were off to visit Uncle John & Aunt Eleanor (Keith's Aunt and Uncle). They had a great playmate named Rusty there. It was hard to say who had more fun...the boys or Rusty!!!
The Baker Farm
Meet Banjo, a miniature donkey. He was so cute and loves kids. Even let the boys ride him. Curtis could have went all day...Spencer, once was enough!
They had horses that Curtis wanted to ride too but that wasn't a good day for the horses.
Instead we found Sam inside who was full of kisses and tricks and non-stop energy.
UNCLE KEVIN'S VISIT
Uncle Kevin came out for one more visit before we went back & even did some time by the pool with the boys and Daddy before Auntie Michelle came to pick him up.
When Auntie Michelle got there we had a little surprise for them as we wouldn't be around when their baby arrived. Sorry to have missed that special occassion!

Thanks to everyone for making our trip so memorable, fun and relaxing. We can't wait to have everyone out to our place next time!!!
